Gerald (“Jerry”) founded Greenway Investment Company in 1979 and serves as a Principal of the company. He draws on more than three decades of real estate experience to direct acquisitions and oversees all major transactions for Greenway. Under his guidance, the company has grown into a leading real estate investment and development company in the Southwest, with a history of successfully developing or acquiring more than 4.5 million square feet of commercial space, 5,000 apartment units and over 5,000 acres of land.

Before founding Greenway, Jerry gained valuable experience as an executive with Ryan Mortgage Company in Arlington, Texas and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He was one of the founding Principals and Director of Alamo Manhattan, a Dallas-based real estate firm concentrating on developing multifamily assets in urban markets. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

With many years of experience under his belt, he has worn many hats and has succeeded across multiple industries, from banking and real estate to title insurance and energy to private equity investments.

In the forty years that Jerry has spent in Dallas, Texas he has developed, invested and made a substantial contribution to the business community and where he has raised his family. In the Dallas community, he and his wife have been active supporters and on the Boards of The Shelton School, The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas (past Chairman of the Board) and the UTD Center for Brain Health.

Todd Petty

As one of the managing partners of Greenway Investment Company, Todd is responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of the company’s investment activities. Since joining Greenway in 1985, he has been involved in acquisition and development projects valued at more than $600 million. With three decades of real estate management experience in both up and down cycles as well as in both large and small markets. Todd is recognized for his expertise in commercial, retail, multifamily real estate and was one of the founding Principals of Alamo Manhattan, a leading urban infill development company.

Active in the community, Todd serves on the Board of the SMU Folsom Institute for Real Estate and served on the Uptown Improvements District Board. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting and he holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of North Texas.

Christy Hammons

Christy Hammons has been involved in all aspects of Greenway since joining the company in 1985. Her extensive experience in acquisition, development and disposition have resulted in many profitable deals, benefiting both Greenway and her clients. She has strong experience in Mixed Use developments, as well as Retail and Office.

Christy provides ongoing asset management for all projects in her portfolio, as well as disposition as the need occurs.
Hammons’ responsibilities also include overseeing property management for her assets.

Christy works with City staff members, Council members, and Planning Commissioners during the development of her properties. She is responsible for putting together the development team, including engaging the Architect, Engineer and Construction Project Manager.

Serving as Vice President, Christy currently handles a portfolio in excess of $400 million.

Mark Hardaway

Mark joined Greenway Investment Company in 1999 after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. Mark’s real estate and finance experience brings value to all areas of Greenway’s business, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, loan and lease negotiations, asset management, financial analysis, and investment due diligence.

John Erspamer

John Erspamer, CPA, brings more than 15 years of diverse accounting, financial and process improvement experience to his role as Senior Controller. He is responsible for overall financial management of the company and for multiple corporate functions including Treasury, Investor Reporting and Tax.

Erspamer is experienced in all property types, including retail, office and multifamily. He is a contributor in the development of policies, process improvement and training. Notably, he created and led the development of the Dallas Best Practices Committee at CBRE, which led to the formation of a national Best Practices Committee.

Prior to joining Greenway Investment in 2016, Erspamer worked with firms such as CBRE (previously Trammel Crow), Howard Hughes, Dell and Prentiss.

John holds a BBA Finance from The University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and completed his accounting requirement for the CPA exam at The University of Texas at Dallas.
